Child among 4 family members suffer burn injuries in Cumilla cylinder blast

Four members of the same family, including a child, suffered burn injuries in a gas cylinder explosion caused by leakage in Daudkandi of Cumilla early Tuesday.

Victims Monowara, 60, Zill Haque, 37, Umme Humayra, 30, and Hurram, 2, were admitted to National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery around 6AM.

Resident surgeon Dr Shaon Bin Rahman said the four victims from the same family were brought to the emergency department from Daudkandi area of Cumilla this morning.

Monowara sustained 2 per cent burns, Zill Haque 54 per cent,  Umme Humayra 65 per cent and Hurram 6 per cent burns.
