NATORE, Feb 26: Naripokkho, a voluntary organisation for women in the country, organised a view-exchange meeting with local journalists from various media outlets regarding gender inequality in language. The meeting took place at a local community centre on Wednesday.
The meeting informed attendees that Naripokkho has been working in the country since 1983 to establish women's rights and dignity in society.
With this aim, members of the organisation are conducting preventive campaigns throughout the country against violence towards women.
The meeting requested journalists and media owners to use the correct forms of words for women in the media so that they do not face dishonour in any way.
