Lt General Shaheenul new QMG

In a fresh reshuffle in the top tiers of the Bangladesh Army, Lt Gen Mohammad Shaheenul Haque has been appointed as the new Quarter Master General (QMG) at the Army Headquarters.

According to sources at the Defence Ministry, Shaheenul, who was previously serving as the Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC), replaces Lt Gen Md Faizur Rahman.

Faizur, who had been the QMG since October 2024, has been appointed as the new Commandant of the NDC.

Maj Gen Md Nasim Parvez, the Commandant of the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), has been deputed to the foreign ministry for an ambassadorial assignment.

He is succeeded at MIST by Maj Gen Md Hakimuzzaman, who was previously the Adjutant General.
Maj Gen Mohd Hossain Al Morshed, the GOC of the 19th Infantry Division in Ghatail and former Director General of NSI, has been named the new Adjutant General of the Army.

In another move, Maj Gen Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, the GOC and Area Commander of the 66th Infantry Division in Rangpur, has been appointed as the GOC of the Logistics Area (Log Area). He replaces Maj Gen Md Mostagousur Rahman Khan, who has retired.        �"bdnews24
