Pakistani army says 274 Taliban fighters killed, 400 injured

Pakistan Army has reported that its recent operations against Taliban fighters in Afghanistan have killed 274 militants and injured over 400, reports Al Jazeera.

Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, director general of the army’s media wing, added that 115 tanks, armoured personnel carriers and artillery pieces were also destroyed. 

Pakistani airstrikes targeted military positions in 22 locations across Afghanistan, destroying at least 83 posts and capturing 17 others.

But, these figures could not be independently by Al Jazeera.

In the clashes, Pakistan also suffered casualties, with at least 12 soldiers killed and 27 injured, according to an army spokesperson.
