Student killed in K'ganj road  mishap

KISHOREGANJ, Feb 28: A teenage student was killed in a road accident in the Pakundia Upazila of the district  on Saturday.

The incident occurred at noon in the Hapania area under Pakundia municipality. The deceased was identified as Nasir Uddin Swapon, 16, son of Abul Hossain of Chartaratakia Village in Pakundia Upazila. He was a student of Charkowna Bohumukhi High School.

According to the victim's uncle, Zakir Hossain, Swapon was travelling on a motorcycle from his home to the Hossaindi area to collect medicine for his ailing father. Upon reaching the Hapania area, his motorcycle collided with a moving auto-rickshaw. Swapon was thrown from the bike onto the road and succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
