Decomposed body recovered in N’ganj

Police recovered the decomposed body of an unidentified teen from beside a pond in Narayanganj’s Sonargaon upazila on Sunday afternoon.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be discovered.

According to locals, they spotted a decomposed body lying near a pond in Kanchpur Dakkhinpara area and informed police.

Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

District Additional Superintendent of Police (Kha-circle) Md Imran Ahmed confirmed the recovery and said that further details will be known after receiving the autopsy report.

Legal procedures in connection with the incident are currently underway, added the official.
