PM orders removal of ads, banners, billboards hailing him

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has ordered the immediate removal of advertisements on billboards and banners congratulating him on different roads in the capital.

The Prime Minister gave this instruction to the authorities concerned on Tuesday. This information was shared by the Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary, Atiqur Rahman Rumon.

The Press Secretary said, "On Tuesday morning, the Prime Minister left his Gulshan residence and ordered the removal of banners with his picture in front of the Hatirjheel Police Plaza. The banner was removed immediately."

Rumon also said that the Prime Minister has instructed the authorities to quickly remove advertisements from different companies that congratulated him on billboards in the capital.

He added, "A few days ago, while passing through Bijoy Sarani Road, the Prime Minister saw an LED board with a congratulatory message and his picture. He then ordered that it be removed immediately."
