Nearly 20 student organisations gathered under one roof Friday as Dhaka University Journalists' Association (DUJA) hosted a discussion and iftar programme calling for democratic coexistence and healthy political practices on campus.

Event titled 'Restoration of Democracy: The Expected Educational Campus' was held at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) auditorium, bringing together leaders from central and DU chapters of various student bodies alongside university administration.

DUJA President Mohiuddin Mujahid Mahir presided over the programme, with General Secretary Mahadi Hasan as moderator.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Niaz Ahmed Khan, chief guest at the event, said DUJA's annual invitation enables representatives of different opinions and parties to gather despite political disagreements.
