Dhaka WASA MD Abdus Salam resigns

The Managing Director (MD) of Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority, Abdus Salam Bepari, has resigned from his post. According to sources at the Local Government Division, he submitted his resignation letter to the ministry's secretary office on Sunday, which was later accepted.

Abdus Salam Bepari had been appointed as the MD of Dhaka WASA through a process that drew criticism during the final phase of the interim government. Prior to this role, he served as an Additional Chief Engineer in the same organization. During his career, allegations of corruption were raised against him.
