
RAJSHAHI, Mar 11: The National Citizens Party (NCP) organised a divisional Iftar gathering in Rajshahi on Tuesday at the Teachers' Training College grounds in the city.
The event marked one year of the party's struggle for the realisation of citizens' rights, the implementation of the July Charter, and the aspirations of the July mass movement.
Nahid Islam, Convener of the NCP, attended the event as the chief guest. Among the special guests were Akhtar Hossain MP, member secretary of the party; Nasiruddin Patwari, chief coordinator of the southern region; Sarjis Alam, chief coordinator of the northern region; Shafiqul Haque Milan, MP from Rajshahi-3 and BNP leader; and Advocate Tarikul Islam, convener of the National Youth Force.
The programme featured speeches highlighting the party's year-long journey in advocating for civic rights and mobilising public support for its initiatives. Party leaders also emphasized unity and continued efforts for citizens' welfare and democratic participation.
The event drew participation from party members, supporters, and local residents, creating a platform for networking and strengthening ties within the Rajshahi division.
