Fire breaks out in bus at Savar workshop, 2 firefighting units deployed

A fire broke out in a bus inside a workshop in Savar on Wednesday night, prompting two units from Savar Fire Service to rush to the scene to bring the blaze under control.

The incident occurred around 8:35 PM inside a workshop at Baliyapur area along the Dhaka–Aricha Highway in Savar. 

No casualties were reported immediately after the fire.

Mahidur Riad, a firefighter from Savar Fire Service, said they received information about the fire at around 8:40 PM.

“Initially, we were informed that a bus had caught fire inside a workshop,” he said.

However, officials could not immediately confirm whether the fire had spread further or the extent of the damage.
