8-year-old boy sexually assaulted, madrasa teacher arrested

Members of RAB-5 Joypurhat camp arrested a madrasa teacher on Wednesday evening in connection with sexual assault of a student.

According to RAB-5 sources, accused Farid Zaman, 23, in the complaint of the child rape case, was arrested from Raigaon area of Mahadevpur upazila.

They said the 8-year-old, son of one Zakir Hossain of Chak Dadra village in Joypurhat Sadar upazila, was studying at the local Madinatul Uloom (Noorani) Hafezia Madrasa and Orphanage as a resident. 

For about six months, the teacher of that madrasa Farid Zaman has been threatening and sexually assault him in several times.

Lastly on January 26, at around 4AM, the teacher forcibly assaulted him. As a result, the boy was then profuse of bleeding from the anus and he became ill.

After the  matter came to light, the victim's mother Shiuli Akhter filed a case with Joypurhat Sadar Police Station as the plaintiff. 

The arrested accused has been handed over to Joypurhat Sadar Police Station for further legal action, RAB said.
