Abdus Salam made Rajbari Dist Council administrator

RAJBARI, Mar 17: Mohammad Abdus Salam Mia has been appointed the new administrator of the Rajbari District Council, following a government decision on Sunday to assign new administrators across 43 districts.

Abdus Salam Mia is a senior BNP leader, having served twice as the party's Senior Joint Secretary in Rajbari. He currently serves as a member of the BNP Convening Committee for the district. In addition, he is president of the district's Zia Smriti Library and publisher and editor-in-chief of the local daily newspaper Dainik Bhorer Rajbari.

The announcement of his appointment has drawn congratulations from political, social, and cultural leaders across Rajbari, as well as well-wishers and residents. Supporters described his appointment as a 'proud and significant achievement' for the district and expressed confidence that his leadership and experience will accelerate local development initiatives.

Abdus Salam Mia, while speaking to this reporter, expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman for the appointment and said he hopes to work with the people of Rajbari at all levels to promote unity, cooperation, and progress. He emphasised his commitment to ensure the district council functions effectively for the welfare of the people and to drive development across the district.

Residents and local leaders also expressed optimism that his tenure would open new opportunities for growth and strengthen the overall administration and development of Rajbari.
