
FENI, Mar 25: The glorious golden jubilee and alumni reunion of Shibpur R. B. Haat Ali Ahmad High School have been held in a highly joyful atmosphere.
The event took place on Monday, taking forward the theme 'Drawn by Roots, in the Courtyard of Memories'. The day-long programme was held on the premises of the historic Shibpur R. B. Haat Ali Ahmad High School, located at Bhuiyan Haat in Fazilpur Union of Sadar Upazila, Feni.
The event was presided over by Abdul Mannan Bachchu, president of the school's managing committee and convener of the golden jubilee and alumni reunion implementation committee. The programme was anchored by Shaon Majumdar, Rahul Chandra Das and Ajiul Haque Rozan. The chief guest was Brigadier General (Retd) Ziaul Haque OSP, NDC, PSC.
Special guests included the school's Head Teacher Md Abdul Halim, Sarwar Alam, and Engineer Shah Alam, along with other notable individuals.
The school was established on 14 February 1971. Approximately 2,000 former and current students from 56 batches participated in the golden jubilee celebration.
The chief guest said, "This school was established around 56 years ago. The golden jubilee is being held for the first time. Such an event has never taken place before. I believe this is a wonderful and noble initiative."
