PM provides financial assistance to July uprising victim Shaheed Jamal’s family

BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has sent gift to Tania Akhter Rumi, a daughter of Shaheed Jamal who was killed in Chattogram during the 2024 Mass Uprising, on her wedding.

He also bore the expenses of the wedding of Tania Akhter Rumi.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon, the financial assistance was provided to Shaheed Jamal's family at a function at Chittagong Press Club on Friday morning.

This special gift was presented on behalf of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the main patron of 'Amra BNP Paribar', by State Minister for Land and Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Mir Mohammed Helal Uddin.

On the occasion, Rumon spoke to Shaheed Jamal's wife Taslima Akhter and inquired about her family.

He also congratulated Zapel Chakma, who passed the Dhaka University admission test, and announced a monthly scholarship for Zapel’s study.

In addition, 'Amra BNP Paribar' provided medical assistance to Marzia Akhter Maisha, who is suffering from blood cancer.

Moderated by Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary-1 Zahidul Islam Rony, the event was attended, among others, by 'Amra BNP Paribar' adviser and central BNP leader Md Abul Kashem, its member secretary agriculturist Mokchedul Momin Mithun and member Masud Rana Liton.

Under the instructions of BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, 'Amra BNP Paribar' is working to provide educational scholarships to poor and meritorious students and standing by the families affected by the past democratic movement and the families of those killed in the 2024 mass uprising.
