A moving bus caught fire in Jashore’s Sadar upazila on Friday afternoon, prompting panic among passengers.

However, no casualties were immediately reported.

The incident occurred in Fatehpur union as the bus was traveling with passengers toward its destination.

According to witnesses and local sources, the fire broke out suddenly and spread rapidly through the vehicle. Passengers rushed to escape through doors and windows as flames engulfed the bus immediately.

A video of the incident, showing the vehicle ablaze, has since circulated widely on social media.

The fire briefly disrupted traffic on the highway, though normal movement has since resumed.

A unit from Jashore Fire Service responded to the scene and brought the blaze under control after about 30 minutes of effort.

However, by then, most of the interior of the bus had been destroyed.
