Throat-slit body of 3-yr-old found in Netrakona

The throat-slit body of a three-year-old was found in a bed of a neighbor's house in Mohanganj upazila of Netrakona. 

The incident took place in Barantor village on Monday afternoon.

Deceased Ankit Barman is the son of Sagar Barman of Barantor village of the upazila.

It was learnt that Sagar Barman lives in Dhaka with his family. A few days ago, they came to the village house. Ankit was playing in the yard of the house on Monday afternoon. The family members were out of the house. After some time, his grandmother returned and started looking for Ankit. At one stage of search, she found him with his throat slit on the bed in a neighboring house.

Ankit was quickly taken to a nearby hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Ankit’s uncle Sohag Barman said, "Ankit was found with his throat-slit in the house of my father's cousin Sukumar Barman next door. We want justice for this incident." 

Mohanganj Police Station OC Hafizul Islam Harun said, the body has been sent to the morgue. An investigation will be conducted to unravel the mystery.
