
PABNA, Apr 3: The admission test for the first-year cluster system 'B' Unit of Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) for the academic year 2025-2026 was held on Friday in a fair and peaceful manner.
The second phase of the three-phase test was held from 11 am to 12 noon with an hour-long test. There were 7,506 candidates in the test. A total of 6,066 participated. The attendance rate was 80.82%.
The admission test for 'A' Unit (Science), the last phase, will be held on April 10.
All preparations were made by the university administration to conduct the test smoothly. The district administration, police administration and the law and order forces of the government provided all possible cooperation.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam and Treasurer Professor Dr. Md. Shamim Ahsan monitored the admission test round the clock. They visited the centre and expressed satisfaction that the examination was conducted smoothly. Deans and focal points of various faculties were present at the time.
Arrangements were made so that the examinees could easily identify their room numbers. There was round-the-clock power supply, fire service and medical team. For the convenience of the examinees, the persons in charge of the examination centre mentioned the time every 15 minutes.
There was a provision for parents to sit in the university's own shed and drink pure water.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam said, "As part of the cluster examination of 20 universities nationally, we took the examination of the second phase of the first year B Unit. I express my gratitude to our teachers, students, officials and employees, as the examination was conducted very smoothly and beautifully."
The 'A' Unit (Science) exam will be held on April 10 at five other centres in the Pabna town, including Textile Engineering College, Shaheed M. Mansur Ali College, Pabna District School, Government Girls High School, and Imam Ghazali School and College, in addition to the university centre.
