A local heard cries of a infant while returning home after Fajr prayers. Later he found the baby
inside a bush beside the road.
Eyewitness Abdul Salam said the newborn was wrapped only in a thin blanket. Due to exposure to the night cold, the baby developed breathing difficulties and cold-related complications.
The baby was quickly taken to Sakhipura Mother and Child Clinic, where initial treatment was provided under Dr. Shamsul Alam. Doctors later referred the infant to Kumudini Hospital in Mirzapur for advanced care.
Local Union Parishad member Ruhul Amin said the baby is currently under the care of a childless couple, Ibrahim and Nargis, who have expressed willingness to raise the child.

He added that once the baby fully recovers, necessary legal procedures will be taken in accordance with existing laws.
