2 held with drugs in Netrakona

Police have arrested two alleged drug dealers along with 600 bottles of Indian Phensedyl in a special drive at Durgapur municipal area of Netrakona district.

The arrested are Nasir Uddin, 28, and Ali Akbar, 25,  both are from Charia Maskanda village of the same upazila.

Netrokona Additional Superintendent of Police (DSB) Md. Hafizul Islam confirms the arrests in a press release.

The release reads that a police team led by SI Nurul Islam, under the supervision of Durgapur Police Station officer-in-charge Md. Kamrul Hasan, conducted a special anti-drug operation in the area called Burunga Bhanga Bridge of Durgapur Municipality at 5:30 AM on Monday and arrested the duo along with 600 bottles of Indian Phensedyl.

SI Nurul Islam filed a case against the detainees and stated that the accused were produced to court on Monday. 

The judge ordered them to be sent to jail, the SI added.
