PM to visit Uttara Hajj camp on Friday night

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to visit the Ashkona Hajj camp in the capital’s Uttara on Friday night to inspect arrangements and meet prospective pilgrims.

According to Deputy Press Secretary Zahidul Islam Roni, the Prime Minister will visit the Hajj camp at 10:30 PM.

The inaugural Hajj flight is set to depart at 12:20 AM from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, carrying 419 pilgrims to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

On Saturday, a total of 14 flights are scheduled. Of these, Biman Bangladesh Airlines will operate six flights, Saudi carrier Saudia will operate four and Flynas will operate another four flights.

Authorities said all necessary preparations have been completed to ensure a smooth and secure Hajj operation this year.
