Another accused arrested in lawyer Alif murder case

Police have arrested another accused in the murder case of lawyer Saiful Islam Alif in Chattogram on Monday afternoon.

The arrested was identified as Lala alias Lala Methor, 43, a resident of Sebok Colony’s Methor Potti area. He was a fugitive accused in the case.

According to police, Lala Methor was apprehended from Bondel Road area under Kotwali Police Station with the help of information technology.

Kotwali Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Aftab Uddin confirmed the detention and said that the accused has been produced before a court following his arrest.

Special drive is ongoing to arrest other warrant-listed accused in connection with the case, added the OC.
