HSC exams begin on July 2, routine published

The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee has officially released the routine for Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) 2026 examinations, set to begin on July 2, 2026. 

The exams will kick off with Bangla first paper in nine general education boards, followed by Bangla second paper on July 4, English first and secnd papers on July 6 and 8, and ICT on July 11. 

Core elective subjects including Physics, Accounting, Logic, and Geography will be held between July 13 and 18, while Chemistry and History exams are scheduled for July 19 and 22.

The theoretical schedule wraps up on August 8 with Finance, Banking & Insurance and Sociology, with all practical exams to be completed by August 15.

Candidates are required to be seated 30 minutes before the start of each exam. 

The multiple choice (MCQ) section will be conducted first, followed immediately by the creative (CQ) part without a break. 

To pass, students must clear the theoretical, MCQ, and practical segments individually. 

While standard scientific calculators are permitted, the use of programming calculators and mobile phones remains strictly prohibited. 

For 100-mark papers, students will have 3 hours, with reduced time for subjects involving practical work.
