2 held with huge Phensedyl in Satkhira

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-6) arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with a large quantity of contraband syrup from Satkhira’s Kaliganj upazila early Saturday.

The arrested were identified as Kamal Hossain, 41, a resident of Khanjia village, and Imran Hossain, 29, of Nalta village in the same upazila.

Acting of a tip-off, a team of RAB officials led by RAB-6 CPC-1 company commander ASP Md Rezaul Haque conducted a drive in Khanjia area around 2:00 AM.

During the drive, RAB officials seized a total of 1,649 bottles of contraband, including 1,562 bottles of Phensedyl (Win Corex) and 89 bottles of eskuf syrup from the spot and arrested the duo.

RAB-6 confirmed the incident through a press release on Saturday morning

Satkhira Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Masudur Rahman said that a case has been filed on behalf of RAB in this connection and the arrested have been sent to jail after being produced before the court.
