Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon has said the  government is planning to complete all public examinations by December and begin the new academic year in January, aiming to reduce longstanding session delays.

The minister said that the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations are being conducted in a peaceful and orderly environment across the country.

''The government is satisfied with the overall situation, and we are also receiving positive feedback from students and guardians.''

Expressing concern over rumors related to question paper leaks, Milon urged media outlets to avoid publishing unverified information. ''Various rumors are being spread through Telegram groups. If such information is circulated without verification, it may harm students.''

He further emphasized the responsibility of the media to verify information before publication.

''Identifying who spreads rumors is important, but disseminating unverified claims is an even bigger problem. Information shared on Facebook and other social media often creates instant reactions that may not reflect reality.''

The minister also warned of legal action against those involved in spreading misinformation.
