New DGs to 11 depts, new chair to 3 authorities appointed

The government has appointed new directors general (DGs) in 11 directorates and organizations including the Directorate of Food, Environment, Agricultural Marketing, Trademarks, Nursing and Midwifery; National Youth Development Institute, Governance Innovation Unit, National Freedom Fighters Council, National Identity Card Registration Division, and Non-Formal Education Bureau.

In addition, the chairman of the Non-Government Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA), Bangladesh Safe Food Authority, National Housing Authority, and the Registrar General of the Office of the Registrar General of Births and Deaths have been appointed.

A separate notification was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Sunday by posting 15 officers of the rank of Additional Secretary to the top positions of these departments and organizations.

Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Md Jasim Uddin Khan has been appointed as the new Director General of the Food Directorate. With this appointment, his job has been assigned to the Food Ministry.

Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Dr Md Lutfar Rahman has been appointed as the new Director General of the Department of Environment. For this, his job has been assigned to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Land MM Arif Pasha has been appointed as the new Director General of the Department of Agricultural Marketing. For this, his job has been assigned to the Ministry of Agriculture.

Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Dil Afroz has been made the Director General of the Department of Nursing and Midwifery. For this, his job has been assigned to the Health Services Division.

Additional Director General of the Bangladesh Employees Welfare Board ASM Mustafizur Rahman has been appointed as the Director General of the Department of Patents, Industrial Designs and Trademarks. For this, his job has been assigned to the Ministry of Industries.

Director of the Barisal Divisional Commissioner's Office, Khondaker Anwar Hossain, has been appointed as the new Director General of the National Youth Development Institute. For this, his job has been assigned to the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Director (Additional Secretary) of the Disaster Management Department Md. Abdullah Al-Mamun has been appointed as the Director General of the National Freedom Fighters Council (JAMUKA). For this, his job has been assigned to the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs.

Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Kazi Mohammad Saiful Islam has been transferred as the Director General of the Non-Formal Education Bureau. His job has been assigned to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.

Director of the Government Housing Directorate Md Asaduzzaman has been made the Director General of the Wage Earners Welfare Board and his job has been assigned to the Ministry of Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment.

Additional Secretary of the Planning Department Abul Hasnat Muhammad Anwar Pasha has been appointed as the new Director General of the National Identity Card Registration Division of the Election Commission Secretariat.

Additional Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division Delwar Hossain has been appointed as the Director General of the Governance Innovation Unit (GIU) and his job has been assigned to the Prime Minister's Office.

In addition, Additional Secretary of the Railways Ministry Hasan Mahmud has been appointed as the Registrar General of the Office of the Registrar General of Births and Deaths. His job has been assigned to the Local Government Department.
New chairmen in 3 authorities

Additional Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education Raja Md Abdul Hai has been appointed as the Chairman of the Non-Governmental Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA). For this, his job has been assigned to the Secondary and Higher Education Department.

Additional Secretary Md Shafiqul Islam has been appointed as the Chairman of the Bangladesh Safe Food Authority. Shafiqul Islam is currently the Project Director of the project titled Construction of Bridges/Culverts up to 15 meters in length on rural roads. For this, his job has been assigned to the Food Ministry.
