Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Thursday exchanged greetings with students of Dhaka Residential Model College who visited Parliament to observe its proceedings.

Around 150 students from classes VI to XI took part in the visit.

The students were seated in the oath room where they were given a brief presentation on the architecture of Parliament and the lawmaking process.

During the interaction, Tarique said, "I was a student of Residential Model College and my brother Arafat Rahman Koko was also a student here."

He wished the students success in their studies and future endeavours and encouraged them to contribute to nation-building.

The Prime Minister later exchanged greetings with the students and teachers and posed for photographs with them.

As part of an initiative to inspire patriotism among children and help them understand the legislative process, the Education Minister requested the Speaker to allocate 150 seats in Parliament, including 50 reserved for children. Under this arrangement, students regularly visit Parliament.

Tarique, who was scheduled to address Parliament later in the day, invited students of his former college to the House through the Education Minister.    "UNB
