DC Masud appointed as Ctg SP

Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Masud Alam has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Chattogram district.

The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a gazette notification in this regard on Tuesday, confirming his transfer to the new post as part of a broader reshuffle.

Masud Alam, a former student from Dhaka University’s (DU) Political Science department and a member of the 28th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) police cadre. Hailing from Bogura, he has served in several key units of the police force.

He came into prominence during his tenure as Deputy Commissioner of Ramna Division under DMP.

Earlier the same day, the ministry issued another notification announcing transfers and postings of SPs in 12 districts across the country.
