SSC examinee 'commits suicide' in Bhola

BHOLA, May 5: After sending her mother to market on the pretext of bringing panagas fish, an SSC examinee named Taiba Jahan Chaiti, 16, committed suicide at a rented house in Officer Para area of Ward No. 2 of Bhola Municipality on Monday morning. 
She was appearing for this year's SSC exam in science group from Masuma Khanam School. It is believed that she may have committed suicide as she did not do well in her English exam. 
Her village home is in Gournadi Upazila of Barishal District. She had lived with her parents in Officer Para of Bhola for 10 years.
Chaiti's family and the police said that Chaiti was the only daughter of her parents. 
Her mother Sonia Begum said, "After returning home from market, I found the door closed. I broke open the door and found her body hanging from the ceiling fan. Later, the police were informed." 
Officer-in-Charge of Bhola Police Station Moniruzzaman said, "Police recovered the body. Since the family had no complaints, the body was handed over to the relatives without an autopsy."
