1 more dies of measles at RMCH

RAJSHAHI, May 6: One more child has died of measles at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of deaths due to measles and measles symptoms at this hospital has increased to 55. At the same time, 13 more children have been admitted to the hospital after contracting the disease.

Hospital spokesperson Dr Shankar K Biswas confirmed this information on Wednesday morning. According to hospital sources, in addition to the 13 new admissions in the last 24 hours, the same number of children have recovered and returned home. Currently, 111 children are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Dr Shankar K Biswas said that a total of 939 children have been treated for measles at RMCH so far. Unfortunately, 55 children have died.
