JOYPURHAT, May 10: Panchbibi Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Kashpia Tasrin inaugurated the cleanliness drive as part of an effective measure to reduce the spread of mosquito-borne diseases including dengue.
As per the Prime Minister's instructions, the drive was inaugurated on Saturday morning by the Upazila administration with the overall cooperation of the municipality to keep their workplaces, residences and surroundings clean on a voluntary basis.
UNO Kashpia Tasrin conducted the drive in the municipal park along with leaders of political parties, shopkeepers and people from all walks of life. The UNO called on everyone to come forward to participate in such drives. She also urged school and college students and youth to come to the playground in the afternoon by avoiding bad aspects including drugs, child marriage, eve-teasing.
