Heavy rainfall expected in Rangpur, Rajshahi divisions

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain and thunderstorms accompanied by temporary gusty winds and lightning in several parts of the country over the next 24 hours from 9:00am Tuesday.

According to the latest weather bulletin, a few areas in the Rajshahi Division and Rangpur Division are likely to experience rain or thunderstorms, while isolated showers may also occur in the Dhaka Division, Mymensingh Division, Khulna Division, Barishal Division, Chattogram Division and Sylhet Division.

The Met Office also predicted moderately heavy to heavy rainfall in some areas of Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions.

Day temperatures may rise slightly across the country, while night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged, the bulletin added.
