Addl Secy Abdul Mannan appointed Petrobangla chairman

Additional Secretary Md Abdul Mannan has been appointed chairman of Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla).

An office order in this regard was issued on Sunday by the Administration-1 branch of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.

Abdul Mannan is currently serving at the Planning Wing of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.

According to the order, he has been given the additional responsibility of Petrobangla chairman to ensure smooth operation of the organisation’s official activities until further notice.

Earlier on Thursday, former Petrobangla chairman Md Erfanul Haque was removed from the post and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration.
