Members of Surf Life Saving Bangladesh (SLSB) are currently taking part in a lifesaving sport training session at Cox's Bazar, the longest natural sea beach in the world. Around 30 trainees are currently participating in the programme, which is being conducted three days a week under the supervision of founding General Secretary of SLSB Mohammad Saifullah Sifat, an international technical official in lifesaving sport. The organisation, recognised by the International Life Saving Federation (ILS), introduced the humanitarian sport in Bangladesh in 2020. The training includes beach sprint, run-swim-run, rescue, and surf drills aimed at developing lifeguarding skills and drowning prevention expertise along the country's coastline.
