Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has announced a revised metro rail schedule for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha holidays. Metro rail services, however, will remain suspended on Eid day.
According to a DMTCL press release issued on Thursday, the first train from Uttara North to Motijheel will depart at 6:30am, while the first train from Motijheel to Uttara North will leave at 7:15am. The last trains will depart at 9:30pm from Uttara and 10:10pm from Motijheel.
Train intervals during the holidays will range from 12 to 20 minutes depending on passenger demand. Around 140 trips will be operated daily using seven train sets.
Single journey tickets and MRT/Rapid Pass top-up services will be available from 6:40am to 9:20pm. On Fridays, ticket sales will begin later in the afternoon.
DMTCL said all ticket counters and vending machines will close after 9:20pm, while metro services will remain completely closed on Eid day.
