2 injured by bullets on Cox's Bazar court premise

Two people sustained bullet injuries after two groups exchanged fire near Cox's Bazar District Judge Court premise on Sunday, creating panic among the people there.

The incident happened at about 11AM in front of the southern gate of the Cox's Bazar District Judge Court building. 

The injured are Mohiuddin and Rony. They are involved in Swechchhasebak Dal politics, it was learnt.

According to the eyewitnesses, Cox's Bazar Sadar upazila Jhilonja union BNP general secretary Liakat Ali member came to the court for his appearance in a case. When he came out, his rival group attacked them and opened fire.

Soon after the incident, police cordoned off the court premise and took the situation under control.

The injured were admitted to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital.
