A mild earthquake was felt across Dhaka, Gazipur and several other parts of the country at about 11:41AM on Tuesday.

The tremor measured 3.6 on the Richter scale, with an epicenter in Mymensingh's Bhaluka upazila, causing no structural damage or casualties.

While the tremor was mild, experts are expressing concern over an increasing trend of earthquakes originating within Bangladesh, particularly in areas previously considered lower-risk.

According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the earthquake originated at a depth of 10 kilometres beneath the surface.
