Egypt makes transit visas mandatory for Bangladeshi nationals

The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Dhaka has announced that Bangladeshi citizens must now obtain a transit visa prior to traveling through the country. 

The directive comes following the latest instructions from Egyptian authorities regarding revised immigration protocols.

According to an official notification from the embassy, travelers must secure their transit visas through the Egyptian Embassy in Dhaka before commencing their journey. 

Applicants are required to hold a valid passport and, where applicable, a valid visa or residence permit for their final destination country.

The embassy clarified that the visa requirement applies to those using Egypt as a stopover point to reach another destination. Approval for entry remains subject to Egypt’s national immigration policies, including ensuring that travelers are not on any entry-restriction lists.

To avoid potential travel disruptions or complications at airports, the embassy has urged all Bangladeshi passengers to complete the visa process in advance.
