Youth commits suicide at Morrelganj

MORRELGANJ, BAGERHAT, June 6: A young man named Limon Mollah alias Hridoy, 26, committed suicide by hanging himself in Umajuri Village of Nishanbaria Union in Morrelganj Upazila of the district early Friday.

According to local sources, Limon Mollah was the son of Siraj Mollah of the area and the father of a daughter. He spoke to his wife Urmi, who lives in Dhaka, before committing suicide. Limon's only daughter lives with her grandmother in the Kuthibari area of Morrelganj Municipality. It is said that he committed suicide due to marital discord and mental tension.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy. An unnatural death case has been filed with Morrelganj Police Station, the police said.
