Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Saturday visited the graves of his parents shortly after returning home from his maiden official overseas tour to Malaysia and China.

He went to the Mausoleum Complex inside Zia Udyan in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar at 12:15pm and offered Fateha at the graves of his father, Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, and his mother, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

Standing beside the graves, Tarique Rahman recited Surah Al-Fatiha and offered munajat seeking eternal peace for their souls.

Earlier, the Prime Minister returned home on Friday night wrapping up his maiden foreign visit since assuming office, during which he held a series of bilateral meetings and attended official engagements in Malaysia and China.
