Minor boy dies of dengue in Gazipur

A minor boy died of dengue while undergoing treatment at Shaheed Taj Uddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital in Gazipur on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Pulak Barman, 9, a resident of Targao area under Kapasia Upazila in the district.

The deceased’s family sources said that Pulak was admitted to the hospital three days back after developing a fever.

Later on, doctors diagnosed him with dengue, and he had been receiving treatment at the hospital since then.

Director of Shaheed Taj Uddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital Dr Md Aminul Islam confirmed the matter.
