Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) on Sunday published the final results of the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination, recommending 1,521 candidates for appointment to various cadre and non-cadre posts.
According to the PSC, 1,320 candidates have been recommended for cadre positions, while 201 candidates have been nominated for non-cadre posts. The results were released at around 5:00 pm on Sunday.
The 47th BCS attracted 374,747 applicants, making it one of the country’s largest competitive recruitment examinations. Of them, 10,644 candidates qualified in the preliminary examination held on September 19, 2025, before appearing for the written examination.
The written examinations were conducted from November 27 to December 18, 2025 across eight divisional cities. A total of 3,631 candidates passed the written stage and were subsequently called for the viva voce (oral examination).
The PSC had initially announced 3,688 vacancies under the 47th BCS�"3,487 cadre posts and 201 non-cadre posts. However, the final recommendation list includes 1,521 successful candidates, comprising 1,320 cadre and 201 non-cadre nominees.
The commission said the recommended candidates will be appointed after completing the required verification, medical examination, and other administrative formalities by the relevant ministries and authorities. The detailed results are available on the PSC’s official website.
