India has resumed issuing tourist visas for Bangladeshi nationals after nearly two years of suspension.

The application process began on Sunday (June 28) at five Indian Visa Application Centres (IVACs) across Bangladesh, while submission of completed applications started on Monday (June 29).

On the first day of application submission, large queues were seen at the Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) located at Jamuna Future Park in the capital.

Despite the crowd, many applicants expressed their excitement and relief over the resumption of tourist visa services.
