GAU honours two Independence Award winners

GAZIPUR, June 29: Gazipur Agricultural University (GAU) on Monday honoured two distinguished recipients of the 2026 Independence Award Prof Dr Z A Karim and Prof Dr M A Rahim in recognition of their outstanding contributions to science, education and agricultural research. 

The felicitation ceremony was held at GAU’s Old Auditorium chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr GKM Mustafizur Rahman.
 
The programme was moderated by Registrar Md Abdullah Mridha. Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) former chairman Prof Dr Z N Tahmida Begum attended as the special guest. Besides, the university’s treasurer, deans, directors, faculty members, officials and invited guests were also present.
