Two female ‘drugs peddlers’ held with heroin in Rajbari

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two alleged female drugs peddlers along with large amount of drugs at Goalanda Upazila of Rajbari district.

The matter was disclosed by RAB-10 assistant director Tapos karmaker in a press conference held on Saturday.

Arrested Bonna Begum (28) is the residence of Sohrab Mandalpara area Goalanda upazila, wife of Tuhin Molla, and Pinki Akter (30) wife of Robi Sheikh of North Daulatdia area.

Law enforcers recovered 1,050 packets of heroin worth an estimated Tk 315,000 from the two women during a special drive at the Daulatdia ferry terminal area around 8:45am.

The two women, along with the seized narcotics, were handed over to Goalanda Ghat Police Station for the filing of a case under the Narcotics Control Act.

RAB-10 remains committed to its zero-tolerance policy against narcotics and will continue such drives in the future.
