Robber chief nabbed with arms in Khulna

KHULNA, July 9: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-6 arrested the alleged chief of the notorious “Khabir Bahini” along with a locally made firearm, ammunition and a Chinese axe during a raid in Dighalia Upazila of the district.

According to a RAB-6 press release issued on Thursday, a special operational team of RAB-6 raided the Gazirhat area of the upazila on Wednesday afternoon, acting on a tip-off and arrested Khabir Molla, 47, son of Kawsar Molla of Jangushia Village in Dighalia along with a one-shooter gun, two rounds of live ammunition and a Chinese axe. 

The press release also said that the arrested is accused in 13 cases filed with different police stations in Khulna and Narail districts. A case under the Arms Act has been filed with Dighalia Police Station and he and the seized items have been handed over to the police.
