Joypurhat man commits suicide in train incident

A young man was killed after being struck by a train in Panchbibi Upazila of Joypurhat on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Ashraful Islam, son of Badirul Islam of Raipur village. He worked as a mason.

The incident occurred at around 11:00am at Bagjana Railway Station when the Rajshahi-bound Titumir Express was passing through the station.

Family members said Ashraful had been facing family-related problems.

Panchbibi Police Station Officer-in-Charge Hafiz Md Raihan said the incident had been reported to the Santahar Government Railway Police (GRP) for further legal action.
