Mother hands over drug-addict son to police

 
MADARIPUR, July 14: A mother handed over her drug-addicted son to the police at Sanerpar in Rajoir Upazila of the district on Monday. 
Later, a mobile court led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Executive Magistrate Md Mahfuzul Haque sentenced the drug-addicted Al Amin, 26, the only son of Khurshida Begum and Mostafizur Khan, to 10 months in prison for taking and selling drug.

According to the police and local sources, Al Amin had been involved in drug consumption and sale for a long time. When he did not get money for drugs, he would beat his mother and create unrest in the family.
