Narayanganj honors mass uprising martyrs on July Martyrs' Day

The Narayanganj district administration observed the historic July Martyrs' Day with various programs, including placing wreaths at the July Monument and holding special prayers for the martyrs of the July mass uprising.

To mark the day, the district administration organized a discussion meeting at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's office. In the afternoon, special prayers and supplications were held at mosques, temples, and other religious places of worship in memory of the martyrs. These events paid tribute and expressed gratitude to those killed in the July uprising.

Earlier on Thursday morning, a team led by Deputy Commissioner Md Raihan Kabir paid tribute to the martyrs by placing a wreath at the July Monument in Hajiganj, Fatullah.

Narayanganj-4 MP Abdullah Al Amin, Superintendent of Police Md Mizanur Rahman Munshi, and District Council Administrator Professor Mamun Mahmud were present at the event. Narayanganj Urban Development Authority Chairman Masukul Islam Rajib, District Civil Surgeon Dr Mushiur Rahman, and city BNP Member Secretary Advocate Abu Al Yusuf Khan Tipu also attended.

Among others, Jamaat Central Working Committee Member Maulana Moinuddin Ahmed, City Ameer Maulana Abdul Jabbar, and Fatullah Thana BNP President Shahidul Islam Titu were present. Leaders and activists of various political, social, and cultural organizations, along with people from all walks of life, also placed flowers at the monument to pay their respects.
