Thunderstorms expected in 13 regions by evening

The Meteorological Department has forecast rain or thunderstorms with gusty or squally winds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour over 13 regions of the country by Friday evening.

This information was given in the forecast for the country's inland river ports from 9 am to 6 pm on Friday (July 17).

The forecast states that rain or thunderstorms accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour from the west or northwest may occur over Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Jessore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Comilla, Noakhali, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet regions. 

For this reason, the Meteorological Department has ordered the river ports in the relevant areas to display warning signal number 1.
